Idea State “U” isn’t actually a school, but the education it offers is the real deal.

Kentucky’s new statewide business concept and business plan competition is designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship by rewarding participating student teams from the commonwealth’s eight four-year state universities. Winning teams will be those judged as having the best business concepts and business plans for proposed new ventures.

All eight state universities are planning to send one or more teams to the event to be held in Lexington, April 12-13, 2013:

• University of Louisville
• Eastern Kentucky University
• Northern Kentucky University
• Western Kentucky University
• Kentucky State University
• Morehead State University
• Murray State University
